You have to fill out a simple form with all your personal, and educational details. You also have to add your area of interest for the internship and the duration for which you will be available for the internship.
After filling out this form, complete email verification.
In some cases, they also provide stipends.
Note: This internship program does not guarantee admission. It purely depends on the IIT Kharagpur faculty. If they are interested in taking you, they will contact you via email.
There is no direct link to apply for an internship at IIT Delhi. You can visit the contact page and drop your email to the respective authorities showing your interest in the internship program.
If they have any vacancies, they will revert back to your email.
They call it Spark. Interestingly, this is a paid internship and you will be paid weekly (Rs 2500 (INR)/week).
You will get the opportunity to work on the funded and real-time project.
Note: They are also accepting international students for a summer internship.
IIT Bombay is one of the best institutes in India.
All the work done under this internship program will be released as open-source.
Unfortunately, you will not get paid for this internship. And you have to pay for your own expenses during your stay at the IIT Bombay campus.

They offer a summer internship program for college students. To apply for this internship, you should complete your 3rd year (six semesters) of BE / BTech in Computer Science and Engineering.
You can maximize your chances by contacting faculty members of the department.

It is a research internship program in Cryptology and Security for senior undergraduate and fresh post-graduate students.
Special things about this internship program- the internship is supported by Microsoft Research India.

For selected candidates, the stipend will be provided to cover the costs for on-campus accommodation and boarding along with your traveling fares.

This will be a 45 to 60 day internship program. As mentioned, they are going to offer an internship to 50 students. So getting there will not be very difficult if you have good academic records.

This internship program is driven by the faculties of the IIIT Allahabad College Institute.
To apply for this internship you have to write a Statement of Purpose (SOP) You also have to mention the faculties (under whom you want to pursue your internship) in your application. So go through all the faculties along with their specialization.

IIT Madras is offering a Summer Fellowship Programme 2024. It will be an internship for two months, probably from 20th May to 19th July.
Eligible candidates: 3rd year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg) or 3rd or 4th year of Integrated M.E./M.Tech. program, 1st year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A, MBA students are eligible to apply. The candidate should have outstanding academic performance.
Stipend: Selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 6000/- per month.

IIIT Delhi is offering internship opportunities in various engineering streams. They have a lot of internship projects. You can check the list of projects on their website. You can apply to a maximum of three projects. So, select any three projects related to your skills and area of interest.
Duration: Duration for the internship ranges from one month to three months based on the project. (If you are applying for a project that has three months of duration, check with your college authorities whether they allow you for a three-month internship or not.)
Stipend: Selected students will get a stipend of Rs. 5000/- per month.
The IIT Indore internship is only available for PG students. This will be an online internship so you don’t need to go to college. There are only five positions for internships.
Students in MS/MTech/MEngg in Mech Engg/Electrical Engg/Electronics Engg/Computer Science Engg are eligible for the internship.
The duration of the internship is four weeks (i.e. one month).

Not sure about all the mentioned companies if they are coming to NIT Trichy college or not. But I believe Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, and other good companies come to our college for internships. Moreover, most of the companies offer internships to the last year’s students. Apart from this, you have better chances of getting an internship from top companies if you can get references from the employees working in those companies. Salary varies. You can expect 40k+ per month though.
For the upcoming year that is 2022, when will the application portal open?
For 2022, you can expect summer internship notifications coming in March.
